Программа Keyshot 3 предназначена для визуализации в реальном времени. В третьей версии ПО добавлена возможностью создания анимации и доработан интерфейс. Появилась поддержка GPU эффектов. От аналогов отличается высокой скоростью работы и качеством конечных изображений.
Билд 3.0.82 содержит множество исправлений, призванных повысить стабильность импорта, визуализации и работы с приложением по сравнению с версией 3.0.78
Программа может работать как отдельное приложение, либо как дополнение (plugin), со следующими форматами:
OBJ, Autodesk Alias Maya, FBX, 3DS, Rhinoceros Plugin, SketchUp, SolidWorks, Pro/ENGINEER Plugin,
ALIAS, JT.
